Nothing gives me more joy than giving form to vague ideas and doodles. The balaclavas on this page weren’t made with the intention to be worn: for me they are pieces of art and extensions of myself.

  • Of course they can be worn! But that is not their primary function. When making this work I find that by freeing myself from the constraints of functionality and the question ‘would anyone actually wear it?!’, I am able to make much more expressive, and fun, finished pieces, which is the whole point of my art :-)

  • I enjoy blurring the lines between clothing and sculpture, and am particularly interested in fashion as both art and costume. Anything can be a starting point; a drawing, character or even a song. I am, however, particularly inspired by the fibres themselves and have a deep love for textiles of all kinds.

DOLLS!

I have been making these dolls for my nearest and dearest throughout 2023, and they are my favourite things to make. From the bendy pipe cleaner limbs, to the miniature accessories, I am thoroughly obsessed with them.

They don't quite look like the animals they're meant to be, but, as my motto goes, thats all part of the charm... I am intending to make some little ones for purchase in the near future, but if you can't wait do drop me an e-mail or fill in the linked contact form above.
